 Emefiele:  Finance Ministry Unaware of N124.86bn CBN Withdrawal,   Witness Tells Court   A Director in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Ali Mohammed, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, told the Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, that the Ministry was not aware of the withdrawal of N124.86 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.   Mohammed, who testified as the prosecution witness 10, PW10, in the ongoing trial of the former CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, disclosed this while being led in evidence by the prosecution counsel, Abbas Mohammed.   The witness said he appeared before the court because his Ministry received a letter from the investigation team concerning N154 billion said to have been withdrawn by the CBN.   Explaining his position and responsibilities in the Ministry, Mohammed said, “My Lord, the Department of Home Finance is made up of three functions based in three divisions, that is State and Public...

NIGERIA POLICE FORCE SECURES INTERPOL AFRICA COMMITTEE FIFTH SEAT AS CP OJAJUNI WINS ELECTION


The Nigeria Police Force has recorded another significant milestone on the international stage as Commissioner of Police Olubode Ojajuni emerged victorious in the keenly contested election for membership of the INTERPOL Africa Committee. The election, held during the 27th African Regional Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, secured for Nigeria the fifth seat on the Committee with a tenure of two years.


The INTERPOL Africa Committee is vested with the responsibility of advising the African Regional Conference in the execution of its mandate, facilitating its sessions, and identifying strategic crime priorities. It also strengthens police cooperation across borders, advances best practices, and develops projects aimed at enhancing regional and continental security.


This achievement reflects Nigeria’s growing influence and leadership in global law enforcement matters, particularly in the fight against transnational crime, terrorism, and other emerging threats. With CP Olubode’s election, Nigeria will continue to play a critical role in shaping regional and global policing strategies under the INTERPOL framework.


The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, while congratulating CP Ojajuni on the feat, reaffirms the commitment of the Nigeria Police to professionalism, integrity, and international cooperation, while pledging to sustain active engagement with global partners to promote peace and security worldwide.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
