The Obi of Akpo, Nze Cyprian Okpala has congratulated Senator Elect, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu, Anambra South Senatorial Zone, as replacement to late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, felicitated with Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for conduct of credible election.

He made the congratulations shortly after dancing to Nkwa Cultural Dance in the outing of New Yam Festival celebration of Akpo, at Central School Field, Akpo, in Aguata LGA, on August, 20.

Obi said, "INEC performed creditably well. They made election materials available at polling boots as early as 8.00am.

"There gadgets were functional, so well that people started voting at about 8.30am.

"Though turn out of voters were not all that fantastic, yet sizeable numbers were made.

"Result reflected people's wish, kudos to INEC. I wish they do not relent but do better come November 8 when we shall be going to the polls to elect governor."

He attributed the peaceful manner at which Anambra electorates conducted themselves in the election to peaceful dispensation of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

"When a good man is in governance, the governed rejoices. Soludo is calm and peaceful and dispenses his activities as governor peacefully.

"So, the people under him cheerfully carryout his directives. The election result is a reflection of what is going to happen after November  8 gubernatorial election.

"I advise political gladiators especially those wanting to be governor not to waste their resources, Soludo's performance in governance assures victory to his second term bid.
