The First Lady of Ogun State, Bamidele Abiodun, on Thursday penned an emotional tribute to her late son on what would have been his 32nd birthday yesterday.
The governor's son, Gbemiga (aka DJ Olu), died together with his friend Chime on October 7, 2017. He was 24 years old.
In her tribute, Ms. Abiodun recalled the sheer beauty of her son's company when he was alive and how she misses him so much since his demise.
"Despite my faith in God, I am honest with myself enough to know this is an enduring pain, imagining what you would look like, how different my life would have been having you here, all the plans you had for yourself and for me; our precious, very honest moments. Oh, my heart breaks as I write this, and imagine what could have been, but God knows best and allowed things to be this way.
"My Gbemiga, continue to rest in peace, as we continue to remember you fondly on your birthday, because I know this is what you would have wanted. Love you this birthday, and always," she wrote.
