 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Opposition Unity Urged as Bauchi Governor Hosts Peter Obi


Governor Bala Mohammed, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, welcomed Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to the Bauchi Government House on Friday, calling for opposition parties to unite ahead of the 2027 general election.


In an interactive session with journalists, Mohammed emphasized the need for opposition parties to harmonize their interests for the sake of Nigerians. “We have to harmonize our interests in the interest of the people of Nigeria,” he stated, highlighting the high expectations of citizens amid widespread hunger and anger. He cautioned against actions that could lead to “disparaging movements.”


Mohammed also made a direct appeal to Obi, urging him to return to the PDP. “So please come back. That’s where you belong. Don’t go anywhere that is in disarray,” he said.


The meeting underscores growing calls for opposition unity as Nigeria approaches the 2027 polls.
