 "It was great joining Njideka Akunyili Crosby — a gifted Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist — to unveil our first portrait together. This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth". Njideks Akunyili is the daughter of Dora Akunyili, who was the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria from 2001 to 2008.  Pennsylvania school bus carrying middle school football team overturns, several hurt


A school bus carrying the Aliquippa Middle School football team crashed Saturday morning in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, leaving multiple people injured.

County officials confirmed that 21 individuals sustained injuries in the accident. The Aliquippa Junior High Football team later posted on social media that all players had left the scene and were being evaluated, asking the community to keep the students and coaches in their thoughts.

The team had been scheduled to play its first game of the season at 11 a.m. against Pine-Richland High School, with the bus originally set to depart at 9:30 a.m. Details about the timing and cause of the crash have not yet been released. One person was airlifted to a hospital, while others were transported by standard ambulance.
