 Art Garfunkel Shares The One Rule That Has Helped His 37 Year Marriage Art Garfunkel has shared the approach that has helped him and his wife, Kathryn Luce Garfunkel, maintain their marriage for more than three decades. Speaking to PEOPLE, the 84-year-old singer said the couple does not allow disagreements to continue for long. According to Garfunkel, they may go to bed after an argument, but they always work to resolve it the following day. "We never get into a fight that lasts. If we go to sleep and we've fought, we make it up the next morning so it wouldn't be two days in a row of turning our back on each other," he said. "We never let a fight last. I can't live without my wife being in accord." Garfunkel met Kathryn in 1985 while filming the movie *Good to Go*.
