 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. RYAN REYNOLDS WILL OFFICIALLY REPRISE HIS ROLE AS DEADPOOL IN MARVEL’S UPCOMING CROSSOVER FILM AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY. (PHOTO).

 Ryan Reynolds will officially reprise his role as Deadpool in Marvel’s upcoming crossover film Avengers: Doomsday, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. While the wise cracking anti hero will appear in the movie, sources suggest fans shouldn’t expect him to fully join the Avengers team just yet.


Reynolds’ return has been widely anticipated ever since Marvel teased its cast lineup earlier this year. The speculation grew stronger when the actor himself hinted at slipping back into the red suit. This news follows the success of Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, which officially brought the character into the MCU through multiverse storylines alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.


Avengers: Doomsday, set for release on December 18, 2026, is already packed with a star-studded cast, including Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Robert Downey Jr. is also expected to return, this time as the villainous Doctor Doom, while Pedro Pascal will debut as Mister Fantastic. The film may also feature Channing Tatum’s Gambit, who recently made his big screen debut in Deadpool & Wolverine.


Although details of Deadpool’s role remain under wraps, fans are eager to see his interactions with iconic MCU heroes. Marvel has kept several surprises hidden, with rumors suggesting possible appearances from Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez and the Fantastic Four. As the multiverse saga unfolds, Deadpool’s chaotic humor and unpredictable nature are expected to add a new dynamic to the Avengers’ next big battle.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
