 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. S. A: FOREIGN NATIONALS BREAK INTO FARM, STEAL LIVESTOCK AND VEHICLES IN DELMAS. (PHOTOS).

 Foreign Nationals Break Into Farm, Steal Livestock and Vehicles in Delmas


A group of armed foreign nationals allegedly broke into a farm near the Kusile Power Station in Delmas on Thursday, 14 August 2025, and made off with several stolen items.


According to Tshenolo PI Security, five suspects forcefully entered the premises during the early hours of the morning and stole:


 • A silver Ford Ranger Club Cab

 • A silver BMW loaded with 50 egg-laying chickens

 • 11 sheep

 • A blue and black generator

 • A silver fridge

 • A pair of jumper cables

 • Five cellphones


With the assistance of a tracking company, law enforcement traced the stolen Ford Ranger, BMW, and a silver Mazda believed to have been used in the crime. The vehicles were spotted along the R42 between Bronkhorstspruit and Delmas.


A high-speed chase followed, forcing the suspects to abandon the BMW. While police secured the abandoned car, the chase continued into eTwatwa, Daveyton, where the suspects eventually fled on foot, leaving behind the Ford Ranger with 11 sheep and 50 chickens still inside.


Further investigation led to the arrest of one undocumented foreign national who had been driving a Mazda Etude used during the robbery. Police later recovered more stolen property in Bronkhorstspruit.


Authorities have confirmed that more arrests are expected as investigations continue.
