 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  Man Arrested for Murder of Pregnant Girlfriend in Leeufontein


The police in Marble Hall have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the brutal murder of his girlfriend at Leeufontein RDP section yesterday.


According to police reports, officers received information from community members about an injured woman at Leeufontein RDP. When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, but she was certified dead. It was later discovered that the victim was four months pregnant.


The suspect is now facing a murder charge and will appear in court soon.
