 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  SEYI MAKINDE PROCEEDS ON LEAVE, HANDS OVER TO DEPUTY


Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, is proceeding on his annual leave on Friday, August 29, 2025. The one month leave will expire on Monday, 29th September 2025.


Governor Makinde informed the Oyo State House of Assembly that he will hand over power to Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal who will serve as Acting Governor. 


“I hereby transmit that during the period indicated above, the Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal, shall serve as Acting Governor," the letter stated in part. "I shall resume duty upon my return from vacation on Monday, 29th September 2025.”
