 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms.  "She should face the law, but she also needs mental treatment" - Comedian Bovi says Ibom Air passenger needs more than an arrest 


Comedian Bovi has weighed in on the recent Ibom Air incident, offering a perspective that goes beyond legal consequences.


A female passenger on a Uyo–Lagos flight caused a scene when she reportedly refused to turn off her phone, slapped a flight attendant, and battled airport security as she disembarked . The viral footage showed the confrontation escalating until officials intervened and escorted her off the plane .


In his post, Bovi acknowledged the disruptive behaviour but called for compassion alongside accountability. He said, “That looked like a manic episode. Yes, she should face the law. But she also needs mental treatment.” He commended the professionalism of the airport staff in managing the situation and emphasized that mental health support should be part of the response.
