 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Side chick driving lover’s wife’s new car crashes into keke, leaving one passenger dead


A side chick allegedly rammed into a commercial tricycle, resulting in the death of a passenger, while driving a newly purchased car belonging to her lover’s wife.


According to Nigerian human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, who shared the incident in a Facebook post on Saturday, August 9, 2025, the car had recently been bought by the married man’s wife for her personal use.


However, the man reportedly took it to a hotel where he lodged with his side chick.


Joe further revealed that the man allowed his side chick to drive the vehicle after she claimed she needed to go shopping.

“Urgent matter on my table


A married man is in a hotel with his side chic. The girlfriend told him she wanted to get some stuff, and the man graciously approved of her to use the car his wife bought for herself newly, which he drove to the hotel.


Side chic, flexing a new car, had an accident with the car moments after she left the hotel. One of the passengers of the keke she crashed into, lost his life.


She has been detained by the police and the car towed to the police station, meanwhile, madam has been calling oga to bring her car so that she could pick up the kids from her mom’s place and return to her business place to close it up for today.


She also told her husband that she had called the mechanic to come fix his car so he could stop using her new car.
