  Tragedy Strikes As Promising Councillor Hon. Chukwuma Okpalauzuegbu Is Laid To Rest On Intended wedding Day  By Charity Ejiofor  A day that was meant to mark a joyful union has instead become one of deep sorrow for family, friends, and the Aguata community, following the sudden passing of Hon. Chukwuma Christopher Okpalauzuegbu, the councillor representating Amesi Ward. Hon. Okpalauzuegbu fondly known as Chuma, had been preparing to celebrate his wedding ceremony, an event filled with hope, promise and carefully laid plans. Loved ones, and sponsors, ready to stand beside him as he embark on a new chapter of life. In an unexpected and heart breaking turn of events, those dreams were cut short.  Southeast getting better since Simon Ekpa’s arrest – CDS Musa 


Following the arrest of Simon Ekoa, a pro-Biafran agitator by the Finnish government, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa has said that security in the South East region has improved.


Musa while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today said the arrest of Ekpa in November 2024 has brought relative peace in the Southeast.


He also said that he is hopeful about the prosecution of the Biafran agitator.


Musa noted that troops of the Nigerian Military have also activated operations to apprehend Ekpa’s lieutenants in Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia states – all in the Southeast zone.


The defence chief said, “He (Ekpa) is still undergoing prosecution in Finland. So, we are hopeful. When we talked about him, people thought we were making noise, but since he has been arrested, the Southeast is getting better.


“We are going to go after the likes of him, wherever they are, and whatever it takes until we bring them down.


“That’s why the Ansaru (leaders’ arrest) is a good win for all of us. There are other ones we don’t talk about, we will also look at them and pull them out,” Musa stated.
