 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Southeast getting better since Simon Ekpa’s arrest – CDS Musa 


Following the arrest of Simon Ekoa, a pro-Biafran agitator by the Finnish government, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa has said that security in the South East region has improved.


Musa while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today said the arrest of Ekpa in November 2024 has brought relative peace in the Southeast.


He also said that he is hopeful about the prosecution of the Biafran agitator.


Musa noted that troops of the Nigerian Military have also activated operations to apprehend Ekpa’s lieutenants in Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia states – all in the Southeast zone.


The defence chief said, “He (Ekpa) is still undergoing prosecution in Finland. So, we are hopeful. When we talked about him, people thought we were making noise, but since he has been arrested, the Southeast is getting better.


“We are going to go after the likes of him, wherever they are, and whatever it takes until we bring them down.


“That’s why the Ansaru (leaders’ arrest) is a good win for all of us. There are other ones we don’t talk about, we will also look at them and pull them out,” Musa stated.
