 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack.  Southeast getting better since Simon Ekpa’s arrest – CDS Musa 


Following the arrest of Simon Ekoa, a pro-Biafran agitator by the Finnish government, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa has said that security in the South East region has improved.


Musa while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today said the arrest of Ekpa in November 2024 has brought relative peace in the Southeast.


He also said that he is hopeful about the prosecution of the Biafran agitator.


Musa noted that troops of the Nigerian Military have also activated operations to apprehend Ekpa’s lieutenants in Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi and Abia states – all in the Southeast zone.


The defence chief said, “He (Ekpa) is still undergoing prosecution in Finland. So, we are hopeful. When we talked about him, people thought we were making noise, but since he has been arrested, the Southeast is getting better.


“We are going to go after the likes of him, wherever they are, and whatever it takes until we bring them down.


“That’s why the Ansaru (leaders’ arrest) is a good win for all of us. There are other ones we don’t talk about, we will also look at them and pull them out,” Musa stated.
