 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026. SUNITA AHUJA HAS OFFICIALLY FILED FOR DIVORCE FROM HER ACTOR HUSBAND GOVINDA AT THE BANDRA FAMILY COURT, CITING ADULTERY, CRUELTY AND DESERTION AS THE GROUNDS FOR SEEKING SEPARATION. (PHOTO).

 Sunita Ahuja has officially filed for divorce from her husband Govinda at the Bandra Family Court, citing adultery, cruelty and desertion as the grounds for seeking separation. 

The petition was submitted on December 5, 2024, under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.


According to reports, the court had initially summoned Govinda to appear, but he failed to respond until a notice to show cause was issued in May 2025. Since June, the couple has been undergoing court mandated counselling in an attempt to resolve their differences. While Sunita has been attending the sessions in person, it remains unclear whether Govinda has joined physically or virtually.


The divorce proceedings have come into the spotlight after Sunita addressed speculation around their marriage in a recent vlog. Her remarks drew renewed attention to the couple’s personal life and ongoing legal battle.


Earlier this year, there were several reports suggesting that the couple was heading towards separation due to repeated disagreements and differences in lifestyle. The court process now marks a significant step in what appears to be a prolonged chapter in their relationship.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
