 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Transfer: PSG Sign Super Falcons Captain Ajibade on Free Transfer


Paris Saint-Germain have signed Super Falcons skipper Rasheedat Ajibade on a free transfer following her exit from Atletico Madrid in June.


The 25-year-old winger, who scored 12 goals in 39 games for Norway’s Avaldsnes before joining Atletico, won the Supercopa de España and Copa de la Reina during her five-year spell in Spain.


Ajibade, Player of the Tournament at the 2024 WAFCON, becomes the second Nigerian at PSG alongside midfielder Jennifer Echegini.
