Military judge suppresses Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s FBI confession in 9/11 case A military judge has excluded a confession that alleged Sept. 11 attacks mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave to FBI agents nearly 20 years ago, ruling that the statements were not made voluntarily. The decision is a setback for the U.S. government's long-running effort to prosecute Mohammed, who is accused of helping develop the plot to hijack planes and crash them into the World Trade Center and Pentagon.  Two Horrific Murders Shock Nkuzana Village

Nkuzana village was left reeling on Saturday afternoon, 09 August 2025, after two horrific incidents of murder unfolded at Nkuna Kraal Mall at around 15h00.

According to reports, a female police sergeant was out with two adults and her six-year-old child when her estranged husband, from whom she had been separated for about seven months, approached her.

An argument is alleged to have erupted between the two, during which the husband drew a service firearm and shot the woman in the upper body. As he attempted to run to his vehicle to flee, members of the community who had witnessed the incident chased him down, assaulted him, and set him alight next to his vehicle. The vehicle was also burnt beyond recognition.

Police later confirmed that both the male and female deceased were sergeants, the man attached to the Thohoyandou K9 Unit, and the woman stationed at the Beit Bridge port of entry.

The police have opened murder cases and are calling on anyone with information that could assist in identifying the suspects involved in the assault and burning to contact Detective Sergeant Stanley Chauke on 072 554 3141.
