 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  UNIZIK announces reason for Ban on “Signing Out”


Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has clarified its decision to ban the popular “signing out” celebrations after final exams.


In a statement issued on August 26, 2025, the management explained that the ban became necessary after the activities degenerated into chaos  including reckless driving, loud music, alcohol abuse, masquerade displays, and even armed escorts.


The university noted that it had earlier warned students in April 2024 but the practice persisted into the 2024/2025 session. An official notice on August 19 reaffirmed the ban, warning of sanctions for defaulters.


The management of UNIZIK stressed that the measure is aimed at maintaining discipline, safety, and a conducive academic environment.
