 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare .  US confirms killing of senior ISIS leader in Syria 

U.S. forces killed a senior ISIS official in northern Syria on Tuesday, the U.S. Central Command (Centcom) confirmed Thursday.

The raid targeted a high-ranking ISIS member who also acted as a key financier responsible for planning attacks in Syria and Iraq. Centcom said the official maintained networks in the region, representing a direct threat to U.S. and coalition forces as well as the new Syrian government.

“We will continue to pursue ISIS terrorists with unwavering determination throughout the region,” Centcom commander Adm. Brad Cooper said. “Together with our partners and allies, CENTCOM remains committed to ensuring the lasting defeat of ISIS and protecting the U.S. homeland.”

The operation follows a similar strike last month in which U.S. forces killed senior ISIS leader Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani and his two adult sons, all of whom were linked to planning attacks against coalition forces and the Syrian government.
