 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area.  UTSEV HONOURS SUPER FALCONS STAR FRANCISCA ORDEGA FOR WAFCON WIN

The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, on Friday congratulated Benue-born Super Falcons player, Miss Francisca Ordega, on Nigeria’s triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).


Ordega, who was received in the Minister’s office in Abuja alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Richard Pheelangwah, was celebrated for her contribution to Nigeria’s historic win securing the WAFCON trophy for a record tenth time.


Speaking during the visit, Prof. Utsev praised the Super Falcons for their exceptional performance, describing the team’s success as a result of hard work, determination, and teamwork. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support to the team, including the conferment of national honours and generous rewards to boost their morale.


“I am particularly proud that a daughter of Benue is among the champions who made Nigeria proud. As a Ministry, we are proud to associate with her success and will continue to support and encourage young people in Benue to excel in their careers,” the Minister stated.


In her response, Miss Ordega expressed gratitude for the warm reception and honour accorded to her. She thanked Prof. Utsev whom she referred to as “a brother and uncle” the people of Benue, President Tinubu, and the entire nation for their support.


She also urged the Minister to invest more in sports development in Benue State to help discover and nurture emerging talents.


The meeting ended on a celebratory note, with photographs and applause in honour of Ordega and the victorious Super Falcons.
