The lady involved in the recent Ibom Air unruly passenger incident has finally spoken out during her first Instagram Live since being released from Kirikiri Prison.
In an emotional outburst, she lamented the impact the incident has had on her life and reputation.
“Since I was released, I can’t go outside again because my body is now everywhere.
My breast is all over the internet.
I can’t even go for job interviews anymore.
I’m not even the social media type.
Who will now marry me?” she cried.
The viral incident has clearly taken a heavy toll on her, and this raises serious questions around digital shaming, privacy, and mental health in the age of social media.
Should people still be trolled and mocked after they’ve served their punishment? 🤔
