 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  2026 WCQ: ‘I know these tricks’ – Asamoah Gyan accuses Osimhen of faking injury


Former Ghanaian striker, Asamoah Gyan has accused Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen of faking injury.

Gyan made the accusation after Osimhen missed Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa on Tuesday.

Recall that Osimhen had already returned back to Galatasaray after picking up a leg injury during the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier 1-0 win against Rwanda last weekend.

As a result, the 26-year-old didn’t feature in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Bafana Bafana on Tuesday evening at the Free State Stadium.

Galatasaray later released a statement, insisting that Osimhen had sustained an ankle ligament injury.

However, Gyan doesn’t believe Osimhen sustained an injury.

“I know these tricks. Someone said to Osimhen, ‘Look, we spent a lot of money on you. The Champions League is coming up. We don’t like you going to Africa, but go there and play a bit, then get injured and lie on the ground and act like it’s serious. The next day you’ll be in Türkiye,” Gyan was quoted by habersarikirmizi as saying.
