 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  2026 WCQ: Super Eagles must beat Rwanda, South Africa – Chukwueze


Samuel Chukwueze has said it is important for the Super Eagles to win their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s men currently sit in fourth position in Group C with seven points from six games.

Bafana Bafana of South Africa top the standings with 13 points from the same number of matches.

Chukwueze claimed winning both games will boost the Super Eagles’ chances of securing a place at the global soccer fiesta.

“For now I am just focusing on the game. We need the two games, Rwanda and South Africa. So, I think we have to win the two games to secure our World Cup ticket,” the winger told Fulham TV after completing his loan move from AC Milan.

Chukwueze is expected to hit camp on Tuesday (today) for the crucial qualifiers.

Nigeria will welcome Rwanda in a matchday seven fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.

The West Africans will keep a date with South Africa three days later in Bloemfontein.
