 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.  2026 WCQ: Super Eagles must beat Rwanda, South Africa – Chukwueze


Samuel Chukwueze has said it is important for the Super Eagles to win their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s men currently sit in fourth position in Group C with seven points from six games.

Bafana Bafana of South Africa top the standings with 13 points from the same number of matches.

Chukwueze claimed winning both games will boost the Super Eagles’ chances of securing a place at the global soccer fiesta.

“For now I am just focusing on the game. We need the two games, Rwanda and South Africa. So, I think we have to win the two games to secure our World Cup ticket,” the winger told Fulham TV after completing his loan move from AC Milan.

Chukwueze is expected to hit camp on Tuesday (today) for the crucial qualifiers.

Nigeria will welcome Rwanda in a matchday seven fixture at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.

The West Africans will keep a date with South Africa three days later in Bloemfontein.
