 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 48 RUSTLED COWS RECOVERED IN YOBE STATE . (PHOTO).

 48 Rustled Cows Recovered In Yobe State 


The Yobe State Government Standing Committee on Recovery of Rustled Cattle and other Livestock has announced the recovery of 48 stranded cows without a trace of a the owner. 


The cows were found  between Mafa and Sassawa general area of Tarmuwa and Damaturu LGAs respectively on Friday, 19th September 2025.


A statement by the Special Adviser Security  Matters and  Chairman  Standing committee  on Recorey of Rustled cattle and other livestock Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd) says.


A combined team of operatives from the Nigerian Army and Hunters Group on operation in the area, recovered the stranded cows.


It therefore calls on the owner(s) to come forward with proof of ownership to claim their livestock.
