 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. Abia Airport Land owner cries out to Governor Otti over non payment of land fee.


Indigenes of Ngwa who own the lands that have been mapped out for the construction of Abia State Airport,  have lamented over the unfair treatment and non payment of their money by the Abia State Government.


Their spokesperson mentioned that the governor announced on the 31st of May 2025 that he has paid 100 percent for the lands that were acquired for the construction of the Airport, but according to him, up till today none of them have received a dime for the land.


They called on Governor Alex Otti to please pay them their money because they are hungry and the land was their only means of livelihood. They also asked him to probe his finance department if perhaps he has released the money and the finance department have refused to pay them.
