  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure. AKON’S WIFE, TOMEKA THIAM FILES FOR DIVORCE AFTER ALMOST 30 YEARS OF MARRIAGE.(PHOTO).

 Akon’s wife, Tomeka Thiam files for divorce after almost 30 years of marriage.


Tomeka Thiam filed for divorce from Akon on Sept. 11, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences after nearly 29 years of marriage. Court docs show she seeks joint legal custody, primary physical custody of their 17-year-old daughter, and spousal support. Akon has yet to comment on the matter.

ACCORDING TO ANOTHER SOURCE:

After almost three decades together, Akon’s wife, Tomeka Thiam, has decided to call it quits.

 

According to court filings, Tomeka says she married the singer back in September 1996 but is now pulling the plug on their marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.


According TMZ, the couple share a 17-year-old child, and Tomeka is asking the court for joint legal custody while requesting physical custody. She is also seeking spousal support but at the same time asking the court to block Akon from receiving any spousal support himself.


Over the years, Akon has remained vague about how many “wives” he’s had, but Tomeka is officially making her position clear with this filing.

 

So far, Akon has not publicly reacted to the divorce news.
