 "I was handed a Qur’an by a Muslim Proselytizer today.  Let me explain: I was at JFK Airport waiting lot because of Tarmac delay of arrival planes. I decided to come out of the vehicle and continue praying Lauds while enjoying the morning sun. I was equally admiring nature and nurture especially the vehicles at the parking lot. I noticed a young man beside a nice Lincoln Escalade pressing his phone. No contact. I kept doing my rounds praying. I added another dimension to the prayer. “Lord, I wish someone will appear from nowhere and ask me which of the vehicles will add value to my apostolate.” I would definitely point at the Escalade. Anyone who runs a hospital in Nigeria knows what a clean Escalade will help you do in one year.  As I approached my vehicle, I noticed the young man following me and calling out to me.  ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RESCUES KIDNAPPED VICTIM SEVEN HOURS AFTER ABDUCTION: INTENSIFIES MANHUNT FOR THE SUSPECTS 


Following a swift and coordinated operation by Joint Operatives from the Anambra State Police Command Tactical Team in the early hours of today, 30th September 2025, a kidnapped victim was successfully rescued at Oba/Ojoto axis, seven hours after he was abducted by armed criminals at Umuru Village, Nnobi. The criminal elements had earlier demanded a ransom of ₦10,000,000 (Ten Million Naira) only.


Consequently, the Joint Command Tactical teams, on an intelligence-led operation were immediately deployed to the location for aggressive and extensive combing. Under the pressure of the advancing rescue operation, the kidnappers hastily released the victim and fled into nearby bushes. The victim was rescued unharmed, debriefed, and has since been reunited with his family.


Meanwhile, the Operatives are currently working on some clues for the possible arrest of the fleeing hoodlums 


The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD, commended the operatives for their swift action and reassured Anambra residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to fighting crime, protecting lives, and ensuring public safety.
