 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Body of Missing SAPS Officer Found in Hammanskraal


The search for Sergeant Sello Ben “Marker” Moloko, a Brooklyn SAPS Detective who went missing on 10 September near the Pretoria High Court, has ended in tragedy. His burnt body was discovered in Mogogelo, Hammanskraal, with his hands still cuffed, a chilling sign of a deliberate and brutal killing.


Last week, police had found his state vehicle and cellphone, sparking fears about his safety. Those fears have now been confirmed, leaving his colleagues and community devastated.


Residents of Hammanskraal and Pretoria have expressed shock and outrage, calling for swift justice for the slain detective.


SAPS has launched a full-scale investigation, with specialized units assigned to track down the perpetrators. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in the case by contacting the police on 08600 10111.
