 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare . CULPABLE HOMICIDE CLAIMS LIFE OF 5-YEAR-OLD IN NAMAKGALE. (PHOTO).

 Culpable homicide claims life of 5-year-old in Namakgale


A five-year-old girl from Nyakelane village in Phalaborwa was killed after being knocked down by a car in Namakgale, Limpopo, on Sunday afternoon.


Police said the child was trying to cross Tshelang Gape Road near Makhushane Dairy when she was hit by a grey Hyundai Getz around 4.30pm. Paramedics declared her dead at the scene.


The driver was not at the scene when police arrived but later reported the incident at the Namakgale police station.


A case of culpable homicide has since been opened, and investigations are under way.
