 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  FARMER KILLED, OTHERS INJURED IN BANDIT ATTACK ON BENUE COMMUNITY

Suspected armed bandits on Sunday attacked Tse Akor Gbatse village in Mbamar clan, Nyiev Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, killing a farmer, Mr. Tachia Akor, and injuring his wife and another woman, Mrs. Mbagbedi Tsetim.


The attack, which occurred between midnight and 1 a.m., came less than 24 hours after residents reportedly raised an alarm about a possible assault by suspected herders in the area. Community sources said several persons were still missing as of the time of filing this report, while the injured victims were taken to Adi Hospital in Daudu.


The body of the deceased farmer has been deposited at the Daudu morgue.


A resident disclosed that intelligence reports earlier warned of planned attacks by armed groups allegedly camped at Rukubi town in Nasarawa State.


When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Command, DSP Udeme Edet, confirmed the incident, stating that officers have been deployed to restore calm and that investigations are ongoing.
