 MISSING KANSHIO LADY REAPPEARS, FAMILY RAISES ALARM OVER CONFLICTING STORIES  11th January, 2026      The family of a young woman earlier reported missing in Kanshio, Makurdi, Benue State, has raised fresh concerns after she contacted them to say she was not missing and had travelled to Port Harcourt for work. A family source told Benue Info-pedia, that the woman reached out a day after alerts about her disappearance circulated on social media, urging relatives to stop searching for her and to discontinue further posts about the matter. However, the explanation has triggered suspicion within the family, following what they described as inconsistent details surrounding her movements. According to the source, the woman had travelled to Gboko during the Christmas period to stay with her elder sister, where she reportedly met a man and began interacting with him.  Fayose’s brother quits PDP, withdraws from Ekiti governorship race

Otunba Emmanuel Fayose has withdrawn from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary in Ekiti State, citing alleged compromise by the party’s national leadership.

Fayose, younger brother of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, announced his decision at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday. 

He accused PDP National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum, of working with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I am using this occasion to formally announce my decision and that of my teeming supporters to resign our membership from the PDP,” Fayose said.

According to him, the party’s leadership under Damagum and Anyanwu has “hindered the progress of the PDP in Ekiti State,” making the governorship primary an exercise already programmed for failure.

Efforts to get a response from the PDP National Chairman on Fayose’s allegations were unsuccessful as a text message sent to him was not replied.

“Gentlemen of the press, credible information available at my disposal revealed that the process of the PDP primaries for the Ekiti governorship election has already been compromised.

“Whoever emerges as a candidate will not be recognised by INEC to contest against the ruling APC in the state.

“In view of this, i hereby dissociate myself from this kangaroo arrangement. i urge my teeming supporters and associates to remain calm as I make consultations on my next plan of action,” Otunba Emmanuel Fayose stated.

“If we could read the secret history of our enemies, we should find in each man’s life, sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
