 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers.  FBI seeks public assistance in identifying Charlie Kirk shooter

The FBI on Thursday released photos of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk and is offering up to $100,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, was shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University and later died from his injuries. Authorities interviewed at least one individual after the shooting, who was subsequently released, and no one was in custody as of Thursday morning. The released images depict a seemingly white man wearing a hat and sunglasses, a long-sleeved black shirt with an American flag design, and long pants. The FBI has directed the public to a website to submit tips and photos related to the suspect.

The shooting prompted Utah Valley University to close classes and escort students and staff from campus. Political leaders and media figures across the spectrum condemned the act of violence, with the California Legislature pausing business to acknowledge the incident. Social media initially carried messages of hope for Kirk’s survival, though President Donald Trump later confirmed his death. Trump himself has survived two assassination attempts.

While many condemned the shooting, some critics highlighted Kirk’s past controversial statements, including remarks about slavery, homosexuality, and gun rights. Kirk founded Turning Point USA in 2012 to promote conservative values in high schools and universities, emphasizing fiscal responsibility and limited government. The organization claims a presence on more than 3,500 campuses and describes itself as the largest and fastest-growing youth group in the country.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
