 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  FG INAUGURATES GOVERNING COUNCILS OF FOUR NEW SPECIALIZED UNIVERSITIES


The federal government is making good on its promises to deliver specialized institutions to tackle urgent and interconnected issues confronting the nation and the world, such as food security, public health, climate change, renewable energy, and technological innovation.


Minister of education Dr Tunji Alausa stated this while inaugurating the governing councils and principal officers of four new specialised institutions of learning that will serve as engines of local economic growth, centres of community development, and platforms for building human capacity to advance national productivity and global competitiveness.


The universities are, Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho ,Oyo State, Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, Zamfara State, Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano; and the Federal University of Education, Zaria ,Kaduna State
