 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  FG LEADS RESCUE OPERATIONS IN ZAMFARA MINE COLLAPSE


Following reports of mine pit collapse in Kadauri Village, Maru LGA of Zamfara State, the Federal Government through the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development deployed Federal Mines officers in the state to lead rescue operations. 


A statement from the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development indicates that the collapse, triggered by heavy rainfall and aggravated by the unlawful activities of illegal miners, trapped fifteen mine workers. Thirteen of them have been recovered, unfortunately with no survivors.


Efforts are still on to recover the remaining two, still trapped in the rubble.


Reacting to the incident, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake describes the loss of lives as both avoidable and unfortunate. He stressed that relevant departments of the ministry have been mobilised to aid rescue operations and unearth the circumstances leading to the incident.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
