 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  First Lady Condoles With Arise News Media Over The Death Of Somtochukwu Maduagwu


Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has expressed sadness over the unfortunate and untimely death of a staff of Arise News Media, Somtochiukwu Maduagwu.


In a condolence message, she describes Somtochukwu as one of the nation’s young and brilliant minds in the journalism profession, noting that it was  painful to see her life cut short in her prime.


While condoling with the Chairman, Arise News Media, Chief Nduka Obaigbena, Somtochukwu’s  family, friends,  colleagues, and loved ones, the First Lady expresses hope that the perpetrators are apprehended as soon as possible and brought to book.


She prays God to grant repose to the soul of the deceased and gives her family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
