 “Nigerians should take it easy on me, I’m really sorry” — Comedian Real Warri Pikin apologises after singer Timaya lifted her on stage Comedian Real Warri Pikin has apologised to Nigerians after a viral moment with singer Timaya at the 2026 AFRIMMA Awards in Dallas sparked reactions online. Real Warri Pikin, who was honoured as Best Stand-Up Comedian at the awards, explained that Timaya had asked for a woman to join him on stage during his performance. She said she initially declined because she did not want to jump, but eventually went on stage.  According to her, Timaya assured her that she would be fine, but the moment became awkward when he lifted her during the performance. She said the incident was entertaining to those present at the event, but admitted that the reaction online was different, with some people making comments suggesting she had crossed boundaries. “Make una take am easy, I beg.  First Lady Felicitates With Muslims At Eid-El-Maulud 

 

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has called on Muslims to sustain their prayers for peace, prosperity and progress of the nation.


She made the call in a message where she  extended warm greetings to Islamic faithful across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Maulud.


She says the celebration, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a time to reflect on his exemplary life of humility, compassion, forgiveness and devotion to Allah, and a reminder for them to embody these values in their daily lives, showing love, kindness, and unity to one another.
