Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive.  Gunmen Assassinate Catholic Priest In Enugu


Gunmen Have Killed A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Mathew Eya, In Eha-Ndiagu Community, Eha-Alumonah, Nsukka Local Government Area Of Enugu State.


Fr. Eya, Parish Priest Of St. Charles Catholic Church, Was Shot Dead On Friday Evening While Returning From Enugu.


Sources Reported That The Attackers, Riding On A Motorcycle, Intercepted His Vehicle Near An Ongoing Type C Hospital Project. They Allegedly Fired At The Tyres, Forcing The Car To Stop, Before Shooting Multiple Times At Close Range.


While Some Accounts Linked The Incident To Possible Kidnapping, Others Suggested It Was More Likely An Assassination, As The Priest Was Alone In The Vehicle And No Abduction Occurred.


The Late Cleric Was A Native Of Ugbaike In Enugu Ezike, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area.


As Of Press Time, Both The Police And The Catholic Diocese Of Nsukka Had Not Issued An Official Statement On The Killing.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
