 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  HORROR AT NATIONAL ASSEMBLY: DECOMPOSED BODY FOUND IN A CAR

Shock and panic gripped the National Assembly complex in Abuja on Sunday after the rotting body of a 55-year-old man was discovered inside a car parked near the annex gate.


The deceased, identified as Gaddafi Iwar, a Tiv construction worker, was found slumped in a red Peugeot 406 with registration number BWR-577 BF around 9:00 a.m., his body already badly decomposed.


Security operatives and health workers rushed to the scene, moving the corpse first to the National Assembly Clinic and then to Asokoro General Hospital. But doctors reportedly refused to admit the remains due to the advanced state of decay.


In a dramatic turn, Tiv community leaders and youths ferried the body to Gbawu Village, on the AMAC–Kuje border, where he was hurriedly buried to prevent a health crisis.
