 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. “I don’t see not being married as a negative” - Actress Bimbo Akintola says


 Veteran Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has revealed that despite being proposed to many times, she has turned them all down because she hasn’t found the right partner.


Speaking in a recent sit-down, the 52-year-old star said: “For me not to have found my partner, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, I don’t see it as a negative. I’ve been proposed to many times, and I’ve said no.”


She also spoke about the pressure women face when it comes to marriage, warning against rushing in for the wrong reasons. “Did you just marry because people say marry? Look at divorce ratings now in Nigeria, it’s skyrocketing. Some people are married before they leave the reception if the marriage has broken up.”


Akintola went further to stress that both sons and daughters should be raised with equal responsibility. “Teach your sons that their body is the temple of God the same way you teach your daughters. As soon as you impregnate a girl, no more school for you, my dear. Go and work and raise your child.”


She also touched on online bullying, advising women not to focus on “rich men” but on men who are hardworking and ready to grow with them.
