 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  I just read Mrs Rita Edochie’s plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom and I feel like vomiting,Maybe she did not know what happened in the South East from 2015 to 2025- Joe Igbokwe


A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Joe Igbokwe has described as unbelievable the call for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.


Igbokwe was particularly reacting to a post by Nollywood Actress, Rita Edochie who pleaded with the Federal Government to consider releasing the secessionist.


In a post on her Instagram page, the actress claimed that Kanu’s release will foster the restoration of peace especially in the South East


According to her, Kanu is “too unique to be in captivity”, claiming that “everything he said from begining to the very end has happened”.


However, Igbokwe in a counter post on Facebook, claimed that he “feels like vomiting” after reading the post.He wrote, 


“I just read Mrs Rita Edochie’s plea for Nnamdi Kanu’s freedom and I feel like vomiting,Maybe she did not know what happened in the South East from 2015 to 2025. This is unbelievable. Mama biko nakpuo be ji. Okwua kariri gi. Alu melu”.
