 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  INEC ANNOUNCES COMMENCEMENT OF OPEN POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS FOR FEBRUARY 19TH, 2026 FCT COUNCIL POLLS


INEC has formally announced the commencement of political campaigns for the 2026 Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections.


Statement by National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun notes Campaign activities by political parties start from Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and end at midnight on Thursday, February 19, 2026, two days before the election scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026.


INEC, however, stressed the need for all political actors to be civil in their utterances and conduct.
