 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  Limpopo man arrested after allegedly pointing firearm at shop employee


A 44-year-old man has been arrested in Westenburg, Polokwane, after he allegedly pointed a firearm at a shop teller in Ladanna.


Police said the incident occurred on Thursday, September 18, when the suspect, who was a customer, threatened to shoot the employee during an argument. Officers responded quickly and found the man still at the shop.


“During the interview, the suspect admitted to pointing the teller with a firearm, which was inside his vehicle,” police spokesperson said.


Further investigations led officers to the suspect’s workshop, where additional firearms were found. A search of his farm also uncovered four rifles and ammunition.


The suspect claimed the weapons belonged to a client who had brought a vehicle for service at his workshop.


He was arrested on charges of pointing a firearm and possession of suspected unlicensed firearms and ammunition.


The man is expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 22.
