 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Malawi's President Chakwera concedes defeat in election


Malawi's President Lazarus Chakwera has conceded defeat in the country's presidential election and congratulated opposition candidate, Peter Mutharika, on his victory.


In a statement, the government said Chakwera accepted the results of the election in address to the nation from the presidential palace, TRT Afrika reported.


The electoral commission is yet to officially announce the winner of the election.


President Chawera pledged to ensure a peaceful transition of power to his successor, the statement said.


He also thanked Malawians for entrusting him with the presidency.


The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is expected to officially announce the results of the presidential election on Wednesday in the capital, Lilongwe.
