Mark Consuelos details 'brutal five-month saga' before his father's death: 'I miss my dad' Mark Consuelos has spoken candidly about the loss of his father, Saul Consuelos, who passed away on March 23 after a long illness.  Appearing on the I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast, the Live with Kelly and Mark co-host reflected on the painful five-month period leading up to his father’s death.  He recalled knowing the end was near but admitted that the reality of the loss still hit him hard.  Consuelos shared that he was able to say goodbye while working on the Broadway play Fallen Angels, and though he later learned of his father’s passing during rehearsals, the production served as a welcome distraction.  Minister Umahi Endorses Governor Nwifuru for Second Term, Warns Rivals to Stay Off

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, publicly endorsed Governor Francis Nwifuru for a second term as governor of Ebonyi State during the Ohanivo 2025 New Yam Festival in Onicha Local Government Area.

Umahi issued a stern warning to potential governorship candidates, stating they could only challenge Nwifuru on social media, as physical campaigns against him in Ebonyi would not be tolerated. “If you want to struggle for governor with Nwifuru, you have to do it on social media. You will not come to Ebonyi State to reap where you did not sow,” Umahi declared.

The minister accused some aspirants of exploiting perceived tensions between him and Nwifuru, describing such expectations as misguided. “They thought that father and son will be quarreling so they would reap where they did not sow. It’s a lie,” he said.

Umahi expressed unwavering support for both Nwifuru and President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing their leadership as vital for Ebonyi’s and Nigeria’s progress. “We want to be part of a united Nigeria, we want to be treated fairly, we want to be counted, and the President is doing that. So we have no reason not to support him, we have no reason not to support Governor Francis Nwifuru,” he added.

He concluded with confidence in the continuity of their leadership, stating, “It’s Governor Nwifuru for eight years, Tinubu for eight years, and nothing will stop it because God has said it.” The endorsement underscores Umahi’s strong backing of Nwifuru’s administration as the 2027 elections approach.
