Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation. The dispute centered on roughly 150 personal items, including clothing, accessories, and stage pieces such as dresses, shoes, scarves, earrings, and handbags.  Most donations are eye service – Shehu Sani reacts as Tinubu’s wife raise N20b

Former federal lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has described as eye service donations made to people in the corridora of power.

Sani made the claim in a post on his official Facebook page on Tuesday while reacting to the over N20 billion raised by President Bola Tinubu’s wife, Remi Tinubu for the National Library.

DAILY POST had reported that the First Lady on Tuesday announced that she raised more than N20 billion so far towards the completion of the National Library project in Abuja.

Reacting, Shehu Sani said that Remi was lucky, stating that the wife of former President, Musa Yar’adua, who made a similar move, was unlucky.

According to Sani, many people who pledged to donate billions to her International Cancer Center refused to redeem their pledge after Yar’adua’s death.

The post reads, “First lady Senator Remi is lucky to raise N20 billion for the National Library that has been abandoned for close to 40 years.

“That is commendable and well appreciated. Her Excellency Hajiya Turai Yar’adua was not that lucky; Many people who pledged to donate billions to her International Cancer Center refused to redeem their pledge after Yar’adua died.

“The project remained stalled for over a decade along Airport Road, Abuja.

“Most Donations are ‘eye service’ for people in power. Our First lady should make sure they ‘send alert as quick as possible’. Happy Birthday to the Distinguished First Lady”.
