 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  NCPC BOSS LEADS DELEGATION TO ISRAEL'S FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTRY ON BILATERAL MEETING 


The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission  Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, led a delegation comprising members of the House of Representatives and ground handlers to the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a bilateral meeting. The meeting focusing on strengthening Nigeria's bilateral relations with Israel.


 Bishop Adegbite expressed gratitude for the Ministry's cooperation in ensuring a safe and secure environment for Nigerian pilgrims. He assured that the Commission would maintain zero abscondment of Nigerian pilgrims in Israel and uphold transparency in its dealings.


The Executive Secretary  of the Commission highlighted the unprecedented participation of about 100 House of Representatives members in the Executive Pilgrimage, expressing optimism that this initiative would become a recurring event.


Tania Berg-Rafaeli Director of the West and Central Africa Division at Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, commended Bishop Adegbite for his visionary leadership and quality guidance. She praised Nigerian pilgrims for their good conduct and promised to collaborate with the Nigerian Embassy in Israel and NCPC to foster robust bilateral relations.
