 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.  NCPC BOSS URGES INTENDING CHRISTIAN PILGRIMS TO PRAY FOR NIGERIA AND THE LEADERSHIP PRESIDENT


The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite has enjoined the intending Christian Pilgrims to Israel and Jordan, comprising Imo and Adamawa states to uphold President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima as well as the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu in prayer while in the holy land.


He made this while addressing the departing intending Christian Pilgrims at the Pilgrims Terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.


He revealed that President Bola Tinubu has been very supportive of the cause of Pilgrimage in Nigeria both Christian and Muslim Pilgrimages.


He further urged them to remember Nigeria in prayer while in the Holy Land, as the country marks its 65th anniversary of nationhood.


He emphasised that the Commission would continue to strive for zero abscondment of Pilgrims during the Pilgrimage, hence it has put every mechanism in place to checkmate it.


The third batch of intending Christian Pilgrims landed safely at the Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, Jordan, to begin their 10-day Pilgrimage program in Jordan and Israel.
