 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Nigerian National Arrested for Drug Dealing in Polokwane


Polokwane police have arrested a 37-year-old Nigerian national for dealing and possession of drugs worth an estimated R40 000. The arrest took place on Friday, 12 September 2025, at around 10:30.


According to police, the team acted on intelligence about a man allegedly selling illicit substances along Paul Kruger Street. The suspect was approached and searched, leading to the discovery of Crystal Meth, Heroin, and Rock drugs, all packaged in transparent plastic bags.


The drugs, with a combined street value of approximately R40 000, were confiscated, and the suspect was taken into custody.


He is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 15 September 2025, facing charges of dealing and possession of drugs.
