 "I was handed a Qur’an by a Muslim Proselytizer today.  Let me explain: I was at JFK Airport waiting lot because of Tarmac delay of arrival planes. I decided to come out of the vehicle and continue praying Lauds while enjoying the morning sun. I was equally admiring nature and nurture especially the vehicles at the parking lot. I noticed a young man beside a nice Lincoln Escalade pressing his phone. No contact. I kept doing my rounds praying. I added another dimension to the prayer. “Lord, I wish someone will appear from nowhere and ask me which of the vehicles will add value to my apostolate.” I would definitely point at the Escalade. Anyone who runs a hospital in Nigeria knows what a clean Escalade will help you do in one year.  As I approached my vehicle, I noticed the young man following me and calling out to me. NUATE Suspends Strike Against Ethiopian Airlines After FG's Intervention



The Ethiopian Airlines branch of National Union of Air Transport Employees, NUATE has suspended its planned industrial action, following the intervention of the federal government.


The union had threatened to embark on strike over the refusal of the management of the Airline to implement the Collective Bargaining Agreement on the 13th-month salary, the non-promotion of workers, casual/contract staffing, and low remuneration.


A statement by the minister of State for labour and employment, Mohammed Dingyadi and signed by the ministry's spokesperson, Patience Onuobia, said at the end of a conciliation meeting convened by the Minister,  the  NUATE and Ethiopian Airlines in Nigeria signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU to meet within two weeks to discuss all issues in dispute and revert to the Ministry.

 

According to the agreement, a team comprising three representatives of the Union, officials of Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and the Joint Aviation Trade Unions Forum shall attend the meeting.

 

According to the statement, the agreement also stipulates that the process will be supervised by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment and Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.


It noted that the parties also agreed that there would be no work stoppage before the next meeting. 


The MoU was signed by the Ethiopian Airlines' Area Manager, Nigeria, Firiehiwot Mekonnen; National Vice President, NUATE,  Moses Unanaow; Deputy General Secretary, NUATE, Odinaka Igbokwe; representative of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Abubakar  M. Sadiq; and Director, Trade Union Services and Industrial Relations of the Ministry of labour and employment, Amos Falonipe.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
