 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Pretoria Police Constable Holds Family Hostage in Mamelodi, Ends in Tragedy


Disturbing news has emerged from Pretoria after a 32-year-old police constable held his family hostage in Mamelodi on Monday.


Reports indicate that the constable kept his family under siege from the morning, not allowing them to move or do anything. Police, including the Special Task Force, were called to the scene.


According to information received, the constable had discovered that his wife was allegedly cheating with his brother, a matter the entire family reportedly knew about except him.


During the standoff, he allegedly attempted to shoot his grandmother, but his 18-year-old nephew intervened and was fatally shot. Shortly after the incident, the constable turned the gun on himself and took his own life.


Police investigations into the tragic incident are continuing.
