 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  Prince William calls 2024 the toughest year of his life

Prince William has described 2024 as the most difficult year of his life.

In an appearance on Eugene Levy’s show The Reluctant Traveler, the prince reflected on the challenges of the past year, during which both his wife, Kate, the Princess of Wales, and his father, King Charles III, underwent cancer treatment. “I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had,” William told Levy in a preview clip. “Life is said to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are.”

The episode, set to air on Oct. 3, shows William giving Levy a tour of Windsor Castle and sharing a conversation over a pint at a pub. Kate announced in January that her cancer is in remission, and she has since taken on more public duties. Earlier this month, she and William were prominent figures in the royal welcome for President Donald Trump’s U.K. state visit. King Charles has also returned to public duties after stepping back last year for treatment and recovery. Neither the king nor the princess has disclosed the type of cancer they were treated for.
